What We Do

Drawhouse provides accurate floor plans of your existing house or building quickly and affordably.

+ Accurate: We use measuring lasers that are accurate to 1/16" over 375 feet, and we bring our computers to your site.
+ Reliable: Your project will be managed by a licensed architect.

A floor plan (click here for an example of a floor plan) is a means of communicating the form and size of an existing building. At its core, it'is a horizontal view of a building. It is an abstract representation of reality, but it provides valuable information such as square footage and relationships of space. We provide floor plans of existing buildings.

Useful for:
- Planning an addition or renovation (Homeowners)
- Differentiating your house from other sellers and buyers (Homeowners & Brokers)
- Illustrating rental areas to prospective tenants (Commercial Building Owners)
- Tax assessment appeal (Homeowners & Building Owners)
- Accurately valuing your home

TIMING
We aim for a turnaround time of one week.

THE PROCESS, in three easy steps:

1. Site Visit: Using lasers and field computers, as well as the occasional tape measure, Drawhouse first documents the structure(s). In addition, we take a lot of photographs at this time for reference.

2. Compilation: Based on the Site Visit, Drawhouse creates floor plans.

3. We get the plans to you: In whatever form you want, from blueprints to digital files and anything in between.

DELIVERABLES
In addition to square footage numbers, we provide floor plans in electronic (as an image file, Adobe PDF file, or AutoCAD DWG/DWF) format, as well as hard copies in most sizes (letter to 24” x 36”/Arch D). The electronic format, in particular the AutoCAD format, can be easily used by architects as a base for their work, as Drawhouse uses industry standard drawing conventions.
